My new album comes out Aug. 30!

My new solo album for cello & voice, of minutiae and memory, is released Aug. 30 on the New Amsterdam Records label (www.newamsterdamrecords.com).  The album featuring eight electro-acoustic compositions by talented young composers including Joshua Penman, Anna Clyne, Paula Matthusen, Wil Smith, Missy Mazzoli, Ryan Brown, Stefan Weisman, and Derek Muro, six of which I commissioned as part of an ongoing project since 2005.   Join us for a CD release celebration at DROM in NYC’s lower east side on Monday, Sept. 12, doors 6:30 and music at 7:30.  Art pop composer Corey Dargel and violinist Cornelius Dufallo will also play a set of new songs.  See you there!  More info on my calendar page…
